Aviator Floyd Bennett Field
Aviator Sports and Recreation Center was renovated from a New York City's first municipal airport into an 8.4-acre multi-use sports and recreation complex. The existing forms of the building structure were integrated into the new design for retaining the historical architecture of Floyd Bennett Field. Aviator wanted murals on different spaces for reminiscent of the Floyd Bennett Field's history. The murals were assigned to install in the main lobby and the cafeteria. Photographs of Brooklyn famous attraction were shot and used in the final design. Wayfinding signages were also designed for the project.
